How Can severe Itchiness In The Chest Be Treated?

I have a rash on my chest that is itchy, I can t stop scratching. It seems to have spread overnight. I haven t changed my eating habits so I don t think it s allergies. The rash looks like raised little welts. I am using a cortisone cream but it is not helping.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, I still believe it is allergic rash, though not from food. An allergic rash can be caused by many substances like food, dust, pollens, clothing material etc.
I would recommend taking an over the counter anti allergic medicine like Cetirizine. Apply ice to reduce the itchiness.
If the symptoms are not relieved then I would recommend a visit to a doctor, get the rash examined.
Hope this answers your question, thank you,
